A) DICTIONARIES
- Arabic and Latin glossary: vocabulary of the medieval Arabic–Latin translations of the Middle Ages (it comprehends the entries of all existing Arabic–Latin glossaries in modern editions of medieval works), under the direction of Dag Nikolaus Hasse.
- Arabic-English Lexicon: Lane’s dictionary downloadable on the Studyquransite (word-searchable PDF files). Accessible on Tyndalearchive too.
- Baheth: online tool which embraces several classical Arabic-Arabic dictionaries, including the Lisan al-arab.
- English <-> Arabic Online Dictionary (LingvoSoft).
- Glossarium Græco-Arabicum: lexicon of the mediæval Arabic translations from the Greek; it contains images of the filecards (ca. 80,000) which have not yet been published in the dictionary A Greek and Arabic Lexicon (Leiden: Brill, 1992-…), and comprises Arabic roots from the letter jîm to the end of the Arabic alphabet.
- Farahidi’s Kitab al-ayn: the oldest lexicocraphical work we know of.
A.2) Greek
- Perseus translation tool: for Greek (based on the Lidell’s and Scott’s dictionary), Latin (based on Lewis’ and Short’s dictionary) and Arabic (based on Lane’s and Salmoné’s dictionaries) into English, by the Perseus project (Tufts University).
A.3) Hebrew
- Philosophic and Scientific Hebrew Terminology (PESHAT): a project of an online multilingual thesaurus for the study of medieval philosophical and scientific Hebrew.
A.4) Latin
- Abbreviationes™ Online – Medieval Abbreviations on the Web [P]: Pr O. Pluta’s software.
- Database of Latin Dictionaries [P]: run by the Centre ‘Traditio Litterarum Occidentalium’ (dir. Paul Tombeur), who plans to include dictionaries to assist translation from Latin into modern languages, dictionaries providing semantic and etymological explanations in Latin of Latin words and historical Latin dictionaries. For now, the database contains: Albert Blaise, Dictionnaire latin-français des auteurs chrétiens; Dictionnaire latin-français de Firmin Le Ver; C. du Fresne(‘du Cange’), Glossarium ad scriptores mediae et infimae latinitatis.
- Cappelli’s Dizionario Di Abbreviature Latini Ed Italiani (Milano, 1912) scanned and indexed.
- Glossaire du latin philosophique médiéval: numérisation des quelque 200000 fiches manuscrites, rédigées par des chercheurs du CNRS (P. Michaud-Quantin entre autres), et qui donnent les passages d’auteurs médiévaux définissant plus de 35 000 notions.
- Glossarium mediae et infimae latinitatis (Du Cange), 1883-1887, digitized by Stanford university. Egalement mis en ligne par l’Ecole des Chartes, Paris.
- Latin place names and their vernacular equivalent, by the US Bibliographic Standards Committee.
- Lessici filosofici, scientifici e di erudizione in latino: twenty one 16th-17th century Latin philosophical lexicons, such as Alsted’s, Chauvin’s or Gocelnius’, with a search function. A wonderful tool.
- Lewis & Short Latin-English Dictionary: the 1891 ed., downloadable from the Internet Archive.

- Collatinus: Logiciel libre, gratuit et multi-plateforme (Windows, Mac OS, et Debian GNU/Linux) pour la lemmatisation et d’analyse morphologique du textes latins. Il a aussi une version web.
